Positive Behavior Support Services
Fayette Resources’ Behavioral Support Team works with individuals, families, school/agency, and residential staff to help them make the most of Fayette Resources’ programs and support services.
Fayette Resources, Inc. Behavioral Support Team works as part of an Interdisciplinary Team including; support coordinators (SC), clinicians, individuals, families, and school/agency and residential staff to encourage them to make the most of Fayette Resources’ programs and services. Individuals are eligible for support services by referral through the Behavioral Support Team if they are currently involved in county-sponsored programs. Referrals for Program Assistance are made through the County.
Behavioral Support Team services are individualized and specifically designed to accomplish the following goals:
• With input from the Individual and Team, create specific positive behavior support plans and intervention strategies for individuals’ identified areas of concern
• Design personalized comprehensive support plans (IEPs, ISPs) incorporating goals to enhance skill development, independence, and participation in the community
• Provide parent/caregiver training designed to contribute directly to improving the individual’s life skills, community engagement, and independence
• Train agency staff to maximize the consistency and fidelity of implementation of the plan of support for individuals and their family members.
• Apply current technology and resources to assist the individual in maintaining and improving a safe and healthy lifestyle
