Fayette Resources, Inc. is proud to announce their involvement in the National Association for the Dually Diagnosed (NADD) Competency-Based Direct Support Professional Certification Program!
The NADD Direct Support Professional Certification validates that a Direct Support Professional (DSP) has an advanced level of skill and knowledge in providing services to individuals with intellectual disabilities and mental illness. Areas of expertise include Assessment and Observation, Behavior Support, Crisis Prevention and Intervention, Health and Wellness, and Community Collaboration and Teamwork.
In order to meet the standards established by NADD for this certification, a DSP must meet certain prerequisites. These prerequisites are that they have worked as a DSP in the IDD/MI field for one calendar year, have 1,000 hours of direct service hours, are an employee in good standing, and have confidence in and make a commitment to a professional Code of Ethics.
This is a very prestigious honor, and Fayette Resources is very proud of our DSPs who have achieved this. These DSPs have made the on-going commitment to provide innovative, progressive, high quality and effective services to those with a dual diagnosis.
