Anthony - A Success Story

Anthony came to live with Fayette Resources in June of 2005, moving into a home with 2 housemates.  Since moving in, Anthony has successfully worked with Turtle Creek Valley’s vocational program with increasing responsibilities and most important for Anthony, money!  Today, he participates in various group and after hours activities such as attending the ‘coffee house’ social groups, outings to ball games, amusement parks and yearly camping trips.

During the time at his home, Anthony has budgeted his paychecks to afford his own cell phone to keep in touch with his friends and family as well as save up for his fishing license which he uses frequently.  Staff often take him fishing on weekends and he always comes back with some interesting fishing stories!AnthonyAnthony continues to make great progress in his ability to maintain increased independence in community, he has moved from needing 1:1 supports to participating in activities with 5 or more peers.  Anthony continues to be a polite gentleman to everyone in his home and in the community and has a compliment for everyone.  He has a very supportive family that he loves going to visit and spend time with them as often as he can.
